Parting Is Such Sweet Sorrow on 'Big Brother 4' Before beginning Wednesday (June 16) night's recap, it's time to answer some reader mail. For those who think we are too harsh on host Julie Chen and wish we would lay off CBS head honcho Les Moonves' rumored squeeze, I'd like to take a moment to share the fact that on my own boyfriend's list of Hot Asian News Babes, Miss Chen comes in at No. 3. Ann Curry from "Today" is No. 1 and he's leaving No. 2 open, but I think we can all agree that third place is still a more than respectable showing.Oh, and for that reader who is always quick to point out any perceived racism on our part, I should also disclose that my boyfriend is half-Asian so his having such a list in the first place is really only 50 percent politically incorrect.See, really it's all about the love -- not only here at Zap2it.com, but in the "Big Brother 4" house as well.Speaking of love, several houseguests get to feel some on Wednesday night.Wearing a lovely off-the-shoulder top and white silk slacks, Julie takes us through what's gone on since Scott was kicked out for his ungentlemanly behavior earlier this week. Namely, his ex-girlfriend Amanda immediately hooking up with Michelle's ex-boyfriend David. Now, we're a little unclear as to exactly what happened when. One minute David is telling Amanda that she would be the coolest girl in the house to date, then he's telling the producers that he stayed away previously because Scott was there. Okay. So far, so good. At this point we drop a piece of caramel corn on the floor and in the two seconds it takes to tell the cat it's not a toy, the two of them have jumped into bed together and are having a gay old time.Well, not actually a "gay" old time, but you know what we mean. To quote "Picket Fences": "'gay' happy, not 'gay' they throw a lovely parade."Not that any of this helps Amanda, who is later on evicted by a vote of nine to zero, following Dana's decision not to use the Golden Veto she was so hot to get on Tuesday.Julie has a brief, pleasant, only slightly awkward exit interview with Amanda that doesn't accomplish much of anything since Amanda has only been there a week and is more excited about seeing who the show flew out to greet her (her dad and brother). The person opposite Amanda on the eviction block, Jee, then goes on to win Head of Household for the next week, which will undoubtedly make the Elite Eight squirm between now and Friday's nominations and might even cause Jung (who describes Jee as "an inanimate object with a pulse") to give her ex more than the cold shoulder.Jee's girlfriend Carmen is definitely rooting for him. Through taped clips we see his honey for the past three years tell her sister Yoon Hee "I'm prettier than her" and express disbelief that Jung doesn't realize that she should be trying to get on Jee's good side rather than further alienating him. Comfortable in her position, Carmen isn't threatened in the least by the jiggly Jung. Which is more than we can say for Donny, Alison's boyfriend of three years who refers to Justin as "the little Smurf" and makes mention that he'd "like to shove the little guy in a peanut jar for awhile."Just a hunch, but we think he should be more concerned with the tonsil hockey Alison is playing with Nathan who she says "has the same body type" as Donny. But, hey, to each his own.Even though it's only five episodes into the season, the show also takes some time out of the proceedings to catch up on several of last year's contestants. Not surprisingly, Marcellas and Josh have both moved to Los Angeles where winner Lisa already presides. Marcellas calls himself "a starlet" and says he's busy "playing model, playing actor, playing host."Josh the Lizard King happily shows off the issue of Playgirl he posed for, but does not make mention of his beloved girlfriend Merritt at all. Hmmm. Meanwhile, since leaving "Big Brother 3," Tonya dumped her boyfriend, met a new guy and got engaged.Lastly, Lisa gave some of her prize money to family, some to friends and some to charity. The rest she socked away so that she could stop playing bartender (which is pity, because she makes a mean martini) and start playing actress along with Marcellas. As for the "Big Brother 4" house, it remains to be seen whether it comes down on the side of Love Shack or Heartbreak Hotel.
